The autoclave is the heart of our composite manufacturing process. In simple terms, the autoclave is a computer controlled, pressurized oven. The autoclave can apply 6 times the pressure to a lamination than a simple vacuum bag and pump process, thereby ensuring a cured composite part with less than 1/2 of 1% void content.
Offshore Spars USA and Finland each have autoclaves that can accommodate composite tubes up to 33 meters in length.
