This beautiful Mason 54, owned by sailing friends Scott Serafin and Ron Rowe was knocked down, but not out, by Hurricane Irma. The boat lost her rig and sustained some other minor damage but nothing that cannot be repaired. Offshore Spars has been contracted to build a new mast and boom for the boat which will be upgraded from aluminum in mast furling to a state of the art carbon spar with a carbon shell, electric drive furling boom. The boat will undergo repairs and a refit at Jamestown Boatyard in Rhode Island, which is where the new spar will be installed in fall of 2018.
