Teaming up with Pedrick Yacht Design and New England Boatworks on a refit project, Offshore Spars is adding another iconic race boat to its repertoire of projects. Running tide was designed by Sparkman Stephens and built as a collaboration between Wolter Huisman and Kretzer Boat Works in New York. Since her initial launch she has gone on to win may of the world’s premier ocean races and built quite a reputation in the sport.
Offshore will be supplying a new carbon fiber spar, rod rigging package, and an electric drive furling boom as the boat will converted to a more cruising friendly setup for the owner. Along with supply of the new rig package, Offshore Spars engineers will work with closely with Pedrick design and NEB to make sure the boat is set up perfectly for it’s new life.
