Peningo upgraded to an Offshore Spars carbon mast with new BSI rod rigging. The yacht was designed by Dubois and built by Pendennis Shipyard to be a fast, high performance, blue water cruising yacht for world voyaging, with a high degree of redundancy in her systems. Her hull was engineered and built onsite at Pendennis by SP Systems.
