Offshore Spars has been called on to build a carbon fiber spar package for the Bruce King designed Whitehawk. This 105 foot long, full wood yacht was launched in Maine in 1978 and is one of the worlds first Superyachts. The rig package will consist of new carbon fiber masts and booms to replace the existing spruce spars.

While we will be using modern materials and hardware, the spar package must have a classic appearance to match the rest of the yacht. We are hard at work using 3D rendering to design different fitting combinations, while also researching faux bois wood paint, bronze anodizing and copper clad stainless. We are thrilled to have this one of a kind project!
